OUR STORY

NAIROBASS THE SERIES

Between 2016 – 2018, Jee Media Kenya run an online video series called Nairobass. The series was created to inspire the next generation of bass players in Kenya and on the African continent. During the running of the series, the producers realized that majority of kids in children’s homes did not have much exposure to live music and access to music education. This prompted them to create a program that would be dedicated towards this cause.

On November 4th 2018, Nairobass officially launched the program through a charity event named ‘Feel the Groove, Share the Love.’ This would become an annual event that would help raise awareness of the program and support it.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

NAIROBASS SHARE THE LOVE

“Share The Love” is our way of supporting the growth and development of the next generation by ensuring that they have the resources to learn, express themselves and develop a career through live music.  We do so using three approaches:

  1. Showcase musical talent and Inspire through digital content on our YouTube platform and live events.
  2. Support Children’s Homes to ensure they have the right environment and resources to learn music.
  3. Support promising young talented musicians who would like to pursue a career in live music.

We currently support two homes: Fruitful Talent Center in Kibera, Nairobi and Dream Children’s Home in Ngong, Kenya.
